4 Pillars of Health and Wellbeing
1. Nutrition (includes hydration) – We are all individual and unique, we are as different on the outside as we are on the inside. What works for someone else may not work for you, so find out your what your personal eating and hydration requirements are.
2. Sleep – Get enough good quality rest and recovery where your body and mind are rejuvenated from the day’s activities. Ideally you should be asleep between 10pm and 6am every day.
3. Exercise – Try to move your entire body more so you avoid under-exercising, however be careful to not over-exercise and stress your body out. A balance of enough exercise, but not too much, is important for your health.
4. Stress Management – We all experience stressful events and situations in our lives. Ways to manage this and make stress work for you, not against you, include deep diaphragmatic breathing, meditation, yoga, walking, reading, painting, relaxation massage. Whatever works for you and you enjoy doing, where it brings a smile to your face and makes you feel calm, centred and relaxed.
